Air Jordan XXXVI SE

IT'S LIGHT WORK.

Breaking barriers and making history as the first Japanese-born player to be a first-round draft pick is just the start for Rui Hachimura. With the world’s biggest games in his home country for the first time in over 50 years, Rui knows he’s here for a reason. Inspired by all of the places Rui can take basketball, the Air Jordan XXXVI SE “Black Samurai” celebrates the purpose and pride that comes with repping your country’s colors.

Light Feel, Big Energy

A full-length Zoom Air Strobel unit is stitched directly to the upper, sitting right under your foot to minimize weight. An energy-returning Zoom Air unit is stacked underneath the forefoot to add an extra burst of responsiveness off the dribble.

Secure for Takeoff

A 2-loop band system paired with high sidewalls provides side-to-side stability, whether you're cutting off the ball on defense or taking off to finish on offense

Lightning Quick

A multidirectional outsole pattern provides stop-and-go traction for players who stay on their toes and use quickness to get to their spots.

Light Flex

A dynamic, flexible tongue includes targeted padding over the top to ease lace pressure and to provide plush comfort without added weight.

More Benefits

• A hollowed-out section between the outsole and midsole helps reduce weight and exposes the shoe's stabilizing shank (a piece of durable plastic that helps keep the shoe from twisting).
• Durable outsole rubber is designed to play on outdoor courts.

LIGHTER, FURTHER, FLYER

The Air Jordan XXXVI isn't just the next up in the iconic franchise; it's an expression of the drive and energy that sparked a basketball revolution. It's one of the lightest Air Jordan game shoes to date, featuring a minimal but durable leno-weave upper reinforced with a TPU ribbon. It also comes equipped with a full-length Zoom Air Strobel unit stitched directly to the upper, stacked with a Zoom Air unit underneath the forefoot, providing a sensation of energy return and elite responsiveness. Step on the court with the confidence that whatever you do—it's light work.
