This year’s Jackie Robinson Day marks 24 years since Griffey donned the legendary number on the field for the first time in 1997, sparking a league-wide movement. No. 24 makes way for baseball royalty, as Robinson’s No. 42 replaces it, now emblazoned at the end of the strap.
