Celebrating the proud history of Native Americans and Indigenous peoples in North America, the Nike Air Max 1 N7 brings the revolutionary track silhouette into a new realm. The raised haptic graphic is inspired by the gifts given by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe to Kyrie Irving during his naming ceremony and honors the vibrant patterns of certain Native artwork. The rubber Waffle outsole and soft suede upper finish off the iconic look.

Behind the Design

Honoring the generosity and respect inherent to Indigenous communities, the vibrant graphic on the upper celebrates Native artwork and nods to the quilts and medallions gifted to recipients during naming ceremonies.

Dimensional Look

Nodding to the beaded medallions of certain Native Americans and Indigenous peoples, the haptic graphic creates a 3 dimensional effect that adds depth and texture. Created by hand, these medallions are received with a great deal of respect for the amount of time and energy it takes to create them.

Retro Appeal

The upper features heavy-duty recycled canvas, a buffed collar and soft suedes, echoing the original materials for added vintage appeal.
