Desiree's Nike SB Zoom Janoski RM Skate Shoe is designed by Desiree to represent a life worth living. Type I diabetes and celiac disease turned her life upside down. This is a story about being brave, getting help and empowering others to do the same. The shoe embodies the inspirations behind Desiree's next chapter, featuring a grippy outsole, cushy Zoom Air unit, and a repeating heart design on the durable toe tip.

A Labor of Love

Desiree went through over 100 colored pencils until she found the perfect palette for her shoe. She wanted to create a shoe that pays tribute to the inspirations in her life that got her through the worst and continue to lift her up and help her succeed.

Soft but Strong

The velvety upper is soft, flexible and loaded with charm.

Complete Cushioning

A Zoom Air unit in the sockliner adds responsive cushioning, while the insole features song lyrics from her favorite band, their printed signatures and her initials.

• Heel features the name of her beloved therapy cat, Charlie.
• Grippy, translucent outsole adds excellent traction, while featuring blood droplet graphics that represent all the finger pokes she does to monitor her blood sugar.
• Vulcanized construction fuses the outsole to the upper for a flexible, broken-in feel.

As a national leader in medical research and education, Doernbecher has been helping heal children and families in the Oregon and Washington area since 1926.
